The bar chart depicts the number of families housing in the USA by their yearly income throughout the given years 2007, 2011 and 2015

Overall, the number of households with an annual income of less than 25,000 accounts for most people in the USA, along with the number of homes with an annual income ranging from 25,000 to 49,999. At the same time, the number of homes with annual income ranging from 100,000 and more is not that popular.

In the year 2007, nearly 30 million households with a yearly income of 100k and more, which was slightly higher than that of households with a yearly income ranging from 25k to 49,999k at 27 million. Moving to the second and the third years, the former saw a small decline to 27 million in 2011, before surging to nearly 35 million in 2017, and the latter at 30 million and continued to fall to 28 million within the same period. Furthermore, households with an annual income of 75k to 99,999k only accounted for nearly 15 million in the first year and continued to fall slightly before going back up to 15k in 2015.

Between 2007 and 2011, there was a small rise in the number of households with an annual income of less than 25k from 25 million to nearly 30 million in 2011, before witnessing a small drop to 38 million in 2015. In contrast, the number of homes with a yearly income ranging from 50k to 74,999k hit a plateau of 20 million during 8 years period.
