The graph below shows how elderly people in Europe spent their free time between 1980 and 2010. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The line graph illustrates activities which elderly European wanted to do in their leisure time from 1980 to 2010, namely reading, hiking, theater, playing sport and surfing the Internet.
In general, what stands out from the graph is that the group of hiking people was the highest number in the 2010s. Aside from that, while most groups increased over the period shown, the group of elderly individuals watching theater experienced the opposite trend.
The amount of elderly people in the group of hiking increased to 80% in 2010. While the individuals who surfed the Internet grew slightly to almost 15% in 2000 and surged dramatically of 35% in the remaining 10 years, the figure for the readers fluctuated from 30% to 60% in the same time.
By 2010, the proportion of the elderly Europe people choosing theater had experienced a slight decrease, a jump of 5% in total. In the meantime, the figure for sport players had risen of 10% before declining to 65% in 2010.
