The period between 1986 and 2011 witnessed a dramatic decrease in the figures of Greek to 150000 in 2011. Similarly, the number of people in Australia use Italian as the first language was flatten out at 100000 in 2006 and remain unaltered in the following five years.
Regarding the upward trend, 100000 Australian used Chinese as their mother tongue as higher double as that of Arabic in 1986. There was a rocket in the data on the Chinese language, leading it ranked first position in 2011, at 350000 people in Australia. In the same pattern, Arabic language experienced an increase significantly from 5000 in 1986 to 15000 in 2011, equally to Greek language.
