The student proposes the university to pave the running trail but the man thinks that it is a terrible idea and brings up some reasons. First he states that paving the running trails will not make the running ground safer because running on a hard surface has some long-term consequences and damages the bones and joins. However, running on a soft surface would be better because it will damage the body less. Secondly, paving the trails will not make the ground look better and people will not enjoy it because what people want is to break from the rest of the campus but paved trails will make them to look like a regular street or sidewalk and will not be relaxing anymore.
