The line graph demonstrates how much oil in the three different kinds of fuel was used in the UK from 1981 to 2000.
Overall, while the figures for natural gas and petroleum saw an increase, the data for coal's uses experienced a downward trend. Units in the essay are measured in million tonnes of oil.
Regarding to the production levels of petroleum saw a gradual increase for 2 decades. It started at just over 90 in 1981, it grew steadily up to approximately 140. This data was dropped remarkably to above 100 in 1990, before climbing into 140 in 2000, became the most popular fuel in the UK in the last year of 20th century. Likewise, the data for natural gas began at just under 40 in 1981, then it rose gradually to above a half in 1992, before rocketted to approximately 100 in 2020.
In the opposite side, the uses of coal faced up with the less famous fuel over 19 years. It started at the second popular oil in 1981 which was approximately 80. It dropped significantly to under a half in 1984, then a noticeable jump to 60 in 1986, before going down to over a third in 2000.
