The given picture illustrates how rainwater is captured for the purpose of drinking in several households.
Overview, the process consists of five key stages in the process of harvesting water for drinking, beginning with capturing water when it rains, followed by several treatment stages and ending with clean water available in people’s house.
Firstly, the process commences when the water is captured on the roof and into gutters, where it then runs down into the drainage pipes attached to the side of the house. All the drainage pipes are set up to bring water to a system that is used to eliminate contaminated substances from water, which is then sent to a place where to store water for long-term use.
From the storage tanks, the water is transferred to a treatment tank where chemicals are added to it. The water is then ready to be delivered via pipes that flow from the treatment tanks to the taps inside people’s homes
