The pie charts illustrate the amount of time per week men and women. between the age of 21 and 40, spent on leisure activities in the us .It can be seen that men spend approximately 33,3 hours a week on leisure time whereas 33,1 hours per week which women spent on leisure time.
For men, most of their leisure time seems to be spend on TV and Internet. This activity accounts for nearly a half of the total at 16,2 hours. Men had the second most hours on other leisure at home, just 9,2 hours. The amount of time per week which people spent on socialising (4,1) followed by on eating out, cinema, pubs (3,3). The least time is spent on sports and walking (1,1 hours by men ).
In contrast, for women, the amount of time a week spent on other leisure at home is 10,6 hours followed by on TV and Internet (9,2). Women had third most hours spent on socialising (6,1 hours).It is followed by eating out, cinema, pubs (5,3 hours) and the amount of time per week spent on sports , walking (1,9 hours ).
In conclusion, it seems that while the total time spent weekly on leisure by the males and females does not differ greatly, the spread of this time is more balanced for men than women, in the US.
