Task1: Cam 7 test 4
Revealed in the pie charts is the amount of electric power generated by several fuel types in Australia and France during the period of 20 years from 1980 and 2000.
To put it in a nutshell, there was a same total output of electricity in two countries. However, the sources which produced electric energy in Australia was fewer than that of France, with coal predominating; meanwhile, the biggest amount of electricity in France came from nuclear power.
Regarding Australia, between 1980 and 2000 witnessed a significant increase in the quantity of electricity generation by hydro power and coal, with the later escalating by 80 units from 50 units to 130 units and the former growing by 16 units from 20 units to 36 units. In contrast, the figure for oil and natural gas decreased dramatically over the period in question. To be specific, electricity produced by natural gas made up 20 units of total fuel source, which was double that of oil in 1980, but these figures fell to 2 units in 2000.
Moving on to France, what is worth mentioning in the charts is that the volume of electricity generated from nuclear power rocked radically by 111 units from 15 units to 126 units over 20 years. Simultaneously, it is the figure for natural gas and oil that dropped rapidly to 2 units in 2000. Additionally, oil was responsible for 20 units of electricity in 1980 before slightly going up 25 units in 2000 whereas the amount of electricity came from coal stabilized at 25 unites.
