Statement of Purpose

From my childhood, I dreamt of becoming an engineer. I opted for mechanical engineering because it is the branch that deals with most amazing principles of physics and science. A mechanical engineer can only bring imagination into reality. He can create anything and everything right from a hairpin to a big truck. Only with the help of a mechanical engineer, one can go in the depth of earth to space. All the complex machines and the systems have a common ancestor in mechanical engineering. Any physical thing you touch must have been passed through the hand of a mechanical engineer. I was blessed to see the things from a mechanical perspective. That's why I have chosen mechanical as my major and want to pursue my masters in the same.

After securing 82% marks in high school, I obtained my admission in &&&&& College of Engineering, which is the most prestigious college of the state. I was also blessed by the scholarship from Government for high school passed students of Science, Commerce & Arts subjects. I passed my mechanical engineering with 7.82 CGPA. I wish I could have done better but because of the financial situation of my family at that time, I had to assist my father in his business. Because of that I couldn't perform up to my expectations and level of satisfaction and couldn't participate in the technical and non-technical events held at the college level but I learned 3 most important things in that assistantship. 1. How to negotiate 2. How to brand 3. How to sell and one life teaching lesson well said by Sylvester Stallone, " You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done." I did the same. In spite of these; I have a personal satisfaction that I have completed my engineering with first class and helped my family in the time of the need. My family is now helping me by sponsoring my future studies at your..................................

During my academic career, to sharpen my pragmatic knowledge and learn the practical aspects of the subject - Manufacturing Process, I visited &&&&&&&&&&& at Ahmedabad, &&&& - Aluminium Industries for sand casting and Achyut CAD/CAM services at Rajkot. I also took additional responsibility of management and organization of the visit at Rajkot. I am also an active member of the society. I have volunteered, managed and organized many cultural festivals held at society level like Navratri festival, Holi festivals etc. Organization and management of these events bolstered communication and managerial skills. I was applauded for flawless and smooth organizations of these festivals.

I have successfully completed the project ' Breakdown Maintenance of Multipurpose Shearing Machine ' with highest AA grade. To identify the root cause of the breakdown, Fault Tree Analysis method was used. After identifying the root-cause of the problem, we replaced the damaged parts with redesigned parts. Also, In order to prevent the future breakdown of the machine, we prepared a new and unique technique of preventive maintenance. This project was big, so we worked in a team and completed the same. The credit of the success of the project goes to Team-Work. This project made me realize that I can work in a team as well as individually.

Training with ________________ has been instrumental in the elevation of my practical knowledge and to convert my acquired knowledge into pragmatic and profound expertise. Working on the project ' Design of a Hydraulic Lift for a car garage'. It took this project because I have a deep interest in the field of Design. Working on the project made me realize that I haven't even left the shores in the field of design. It helped me in the application of the subjects like Strength of Material and Machine Design and created a better understanding of the practical use of my subjective knowledge. I also used CAD software like ________________ for better and effective communication and efficient use of time.

In a nutshell, I am a strong team player with sound knowledge of the stream along with good communication and presentation skills. Studying in Canada would provide me with a unique chance to test my ability and cope with the recent trend and acquisition of skills. After carefully studying the brochure, consulting professors and students I look forward being a part of this institution. Moreover, Canada is the hub for world-class research activities and the faculty assistance given to the students is very encouraging. Working under distinguished faculty and research involved will be an invaluable experience.
