frogs
The professor discusses three main drawbacks of the solutions presented in the reading passage. The information she presents is in direct contrast to the facts outlined in the reading.
First the lecturer mentions that decreasing the use of pesticides not only suggests a practical solution, but also it puts farmers of that area in risk. Because lowering the use of pesticides will decrease farmers opportunity in today's competitive market. However, according to the reading limiting the use of pesticides have an important role in decreasing the harmful effect of pesticides on frogs.
Second, the speaker specifies that the using suggested treatment on frogs is not reasonable. In fact, she notes that these treatments need to be applied on each frog individually in order to be effective. In addition, she states that to have a long term positive effect these treatments should be used for every new generation of that frogs. On the other hand, the reading explains that for avoiding the negative effect of fungus on frogs the treatments need to be applied on frogs. According to the reading these treatments are considered to have a positive result.
Third, the professor points out that the main threat for the environment is the global warming which increase the extinction of different species of animals. In contrast, the reading notes that human activities such as inaccurate use of water resources is an important factor in putting the environment in danger. As a result, frogs would encounter many problems for laying their eggs.
