The Article claims that the atmosphere of Venus is extreme and inhospitable for the human to live there and provides three reasons of support. However, the lecture explains that the reasons are not enough to justify the reasons and refutes each of the author's reasons.
First, the article claims that the atmospheric pressure is not suitable for anything in Venus. However, the lecture refutes this point by saying that it is possible to live in Venus if the living place is being float fifty kilometer above the ground. This will not create extra pressure on the living place and on the human. Adopting this technique will prevent the living place to be crushed.
Second, the article posits that Venus contains no significant reservoirs of water and oxygen for the living species. However, the lecture opposes this point by saying that its atmosphere is mostly made up of carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid which can be used to produce water and oxygen. So, there is no necessity to import these substances from the earth.
Third, the article claims that the lack of light power in Venus will make the humans to be deprived of the electricity to power their machines and equipments. However, the lecture refutes this point by saying that the sunlight that reaches to the surface as well as the sunlight that reflects back both can be used to produce solar power. So, the point stated in the article is not necessarily true.
