Government officials should rely on their own judgment rather than unquestioningly carry out the will of the people they serve.

What does really matter considering effectiveness of the country, is it sole judgement of government officials that matter or the voice of People? The judgment of government officials can be helpful for nation when they think its people are not that much educated like in third world countries whereas if we talk about developed countries people’s will is something that should be served in order to be on safe side from biasness and people themselves will be responsible for their fate. After weighing the evidence I think people should be listened up by the government officials in order to make it more productive through unity and summation of many good ideas.

Basic definition of Democracy itself states which is prevailing concept in most of the counties of the world that “government of the people, for the people and by the people” so basically for countries applying democracy, becomes obligatory for their government officials to listen to the people and serve the will of the people and avoid your own judgment which would otherwise come under the definition of dictatorship.

Government officials who have been solely acting as dictator are now been thrown out of their offices, the major example of this could be that of middle eastern countries where due to recent uprising we have seen conversion to democracy from dictatorship. The main reason for this uprising was that official were not serving their people’s will rather were doing what they thought right.

When people get listened up, they feel satisfied with the government and its most of the policies, the major example of this thing could be developed countries like mainly in Europe and America where small protest of people literally destroy the pleasure of concerned government officials. In US there is option in white house to sign the petition if someone has any issue with any policy or needs any amendment and as soon as that number cross 10k, that issue is actually reviewed.

Therefore it can be said that government officials should serve the will of the people, if they don’t and just rely on their judgemnet people will actually would not accept them like in middle easteren counties.
