Given are two figures revealing the information on the rate of crimes committed by men and women of various ages in the UK and the percentage of male and female prisoners in the UK prison population.
It it clear from the graph provided that the rate of committing crimes in both sexes experiences an exponential rise during the adolecent and reachs the peak at the age of 20. It is also apparent that men are more likely to commit crimes than women are. From only 2 percent in 10-year-old boys, this rate soars dramatically to 16 percent in 20-year-old men. After that, this was followed by considerably fall among men older than 20. The same trend is seen in famale's. There is less than 5 percent of criminal convictions made by women from 20 to 60 years old. Only 2 percent of crimes are committed by 60-year-old men and 0 percent by women at the same age.
It can be seen from the pie chart supplied that the most British prison immates are men with 96 percent, while the proportion of women is just 4 percent.
