There are various factor to increase the quality of education. In that allotment, I believe salary plays monumental role to upgrade education quality.
First, Immaculate things are very expensive. Top and repudiated professor also belongs to the pristine quality and a university offers higher salary to those professor. For instance, In our highly repudiated Kathmandu university, most of the professor are regarded as highly accomplished regarding to professor of other university, in Nepal, and it is inevitable that highly skilled professor renders quality education to the students as such genius professor provide deep understanding of knowledge.
Providing higher salaries increase quality of life, so professor can give more attention about his work. Professor, for example, who are scarcely paid, may have to do other part-time job, which can be onerous; thus they can't focus on providing quality education. On the other hand, if a professor is paid higher job, then he can fully concentrate in only single job. Furthermore, highly paid professor can focus on his research and may lead to many invention and discoveries. Admittedly, We also know that research activities is directly associated with quality education.
However, some may contend that student's involvement have monumental role than professor role, but I still insists that teacher plays an monumental role. With the teacher effort, student's rate of acquiring will be higher, also he can motivate an careless student to study. Similarly, student may try harder studying with books, but depth of the knowledge he have will be lower than the knowledge gained through lecture, debate from highly qualified professor and such top professor are hired by providing ludicrous payment.
Top professor, attention in teaching, involvement in research, and increase in student's knowledge are achieved by providing higher salaries to professor. Therefore, monetary issue in professor profession have a pivotal importance for ascending of quality education.
