You are going to another country to study. You would like to do a part-time job while you are studying, so you want to ask a freind who lives there for some help.
Write a letter to this freind. In your letter
give details of your study plan
explain why you want to get a part-time job
suggest how your friend could help you find a job
Dear John,
I am writing to ask you about a favor. As you know, I am going to study in your country for a year. In fact, I arrive on 29th August and my studying begins on 1st September. Fortunately, my curriculum has been sent to me in advance; so, I knew my schedule already. Apparently, I will study from Monday to Friday, my lectures and classes will start at 08:15 am and be finished by 04:00 pm. Consequently, I have a plethora of spare time that can be devoted to a part-time job.
Frankly, I need this job because it is the quickest and the most efficient way to improve my speaking English. Moreover, the United States of America is an expensive country for living and I will definitely need additional cash that may be spent on having fun and partying.
I hope you can help me by advising me how to find a decent job in your area. What sources should I use? Are printed newspapers a better source of information than the internet? In addition, I would like that you ask friends and acquaintances whether they need a new employee with my skills or not? I knew you have a large number of friends, maybe you will find me a job.
I am waiting for your prompt response.
Sincerely yours,
Eugene Dubinchuk.
