You work in an international company. You need to take some time off work. Write a letter to
your employer. In your letter:
-Explain why you need this time off
-give details of when you want the time off
-say who can do your work when you are away
Dear Mr. John,
I am writing this letter to you to grant me a permission to take a vacation from work. As you know, I am studying master degree in Human Resources which not only broaden my professional skills but also develop my managerial competencies. I have been studying for the more than two years in order to gain the master.
I will be taking the exam on 21st of March so that I would like to have two weeks before the exam to prepare and I will return back on Sunday morning after the exam. According to our company policy, I am entitled to take two weeks consecutively to be deducted from annual leave balance.
Therefore, I will delegate my colleague David Peter to act as my backup during my absence because he has been working with me since I have commenced my job here, so I will hold a training session for him to undertake my tasks.
In the end, thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
Mina Michael
