Electricity Sources in France and Australia
Those pie charts describe the total units of electricity production by fuel source in France and Australian in 1980 and 2000. They describe the used of coal, oil, natural gas, hydro power and nuclear power as electricity sources in both countries.
In 1980 the government of Australia used 100 units of electricity production, 50 units used coal as energy source, 20 units used natural gas, 20 units used hydro power and oil was the smallest fuel source that used just by 10 units. In 2000, the total of electricity unit in Australia increased 70% from 100 units in 1980 to 170 units in 2000. The biggest fuel source that used was coal by 130 units, but both natural gas and oil source just used by units.
In France, natural gas and coal were the major sources in 1980, coal used in 25 units as same with natural gas in 25 units. In 1980, goverment used hydro power in 5 units only. While in 2000, the total of electricity unit in France increased 100% became 180 units from 90 units. Nuclear power was the biggest contribution with 126 units which before 15 units only.
In conclusion, the major source of fuel in Australia was coal, while the greatest contribution of electricity source in France was contributed by nuclear power.
