Computers play an important role in our life. However, some people worry about their negative influence on the younger generation.
What can you say for and against using computers?
It is impossible to imagine our modern life without using computers. They have taken a crucial part in our civilization. Though there are some negative aspects in using them. This essay will consider positive and negative impact of computers.
On the one hand computers make our lives easier, more comfortable and pleasant. The machines save us from routine replacing people wherever the work requires long monotonous boring operations on data. They can operate numbers fast and easy. The productivity such operations has increased billions times. We are able to perform calculations we have never done before. Nowadays lots of jobs require performance of calculations and computers do it without strong efforts. Also computers are used for many other things like entertaining, communicating and typewriting. All the office work is run with help of computers.
On the other hand people are becoming more and more dependent on computers. Moreover, many devices at the present have a tiny computer inside, and we would not be able to do without it. I mean phones, tablets, even food processor on kitchen. There are other negative effects. Modern urban people lifestyle has changed. We use computers to communicate and entertain, but we often stop meeting people live, walking, attending parties and gym. As a result, our health is getting worse and we are losing the ability of face-to-face communication.
In conclusion, I must notice that despite of the fact that there are many spheres of people activity where the computers make our life easier and more comfortable, there is some negative influence on human life which we should know about as well as their consequences.
