The best way to teach is to praise positive actions and ignore negative ones.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.
Praising positive actions is just a subset of best method of teaching. In my opinion, in addition to lauding good work, first good values should be taught to the student, and certainly negative actions can't be neglected.
Praising positive actions, will certainly help a kid and instill confidence in him. Rewarding for doing good will also instigate in him a feel good factor and an incentive to continue doing well in the future. Continuing such practices is surely a great way to teach But, plainly ignoring the bad deeds will is of no help. The person concerned should be made aware of what he has done, what effect it had on others, and why this is wrong. He should be admonished for such act and a minor punishment may be given, so that such actions are not repeated in future. Most importantly, he should be explained why doing such actions in not approved and why it is considered negative. If negative actions are continuously ignored, he/she will never understand that his.her action is wrong and will continue repeating such acts in future. Therefore a reward punishment scheme needs to be designed where reward is given for good deeds, while minor punishment is imposed for negative actions.
So, in conclusion, the first step is to explain properly what is right and what is wrong, and why these actions are right/wrong. Secondly, a incentive mechanism needs to be designed, and made aware to the student, where the objectives of both party aligns, such that student acts in the welfare of society in the future. This, I believe is the best way of teaching
