Education is an essential for every person. If a person is educated he will be civilized and leads country to success. Educators are the planners of the courses and their profession is to teach. They are experts in their respective fields and they need not take suggestions from their students while planning the courses.
The planners of the courses have complete knowledge of topics that are required to be in the courses at different levels. If students opinions are taken to account when designing courses the result would be random. In a class of 10 students each of them would have different interests, one student would like Mathematics and other would feel History is amazing. The student for whom Math interests may like to learn all advanced topics above his class or grade level, but not others while the one who feels History is amazing may want to learn history of the world which is above his grade level and may be burden for others to emphasis on subject. Especially at primary education all the essential subjects are given equal importance and the basics of each subject are taught which are required for majoring at any subject in future at high school or college.
The higher education focuses more on the specialization where the students are motivated because they study what they are interested. In advanced studies there is more choice for the student to make if the subject interests the student they would pursue to study in that area. Again, educators when planning courses for advanced studies have the current knowledge which is to be added in syllabus to have their students with up to date knowledge in the subject they are specializing. For example, for a student who is studying medicine will have to learn all the topics essentially related to human beings but some students do not like biochemistry because it is hard but they all like to learn all other aspects of medicine topics. So the educators cannot simply remove that topic from course because most of them do not have interest in that topic and that topic is important for understanding human body.
A single person do not plan the courses for a subject, a team of educators with specialization in that field plan the courses. Before the courses are planned the teachers do lot of research at their specialization and try understanding students’ ability to understand each topic at that level. Every few years the syllabus is revised with the team to have up to date knowledge with current findings in that subject.
To sum up, the educators are the ones skilled and responsible for planning the courses and they should not take opinions from their students to know what interests them while planning.
