The most powerful asset to each successful state is the support of its nation. Nowadays, we can observe many world powers on the global stage how they attempt to ensure the interest of their people. Since government officials are true representatives of their people, there should be a significant consistency between both sides; it signifies that government officials cannot succeed unless they augment the contribution of the people whom they serve.
To elucidate this statement, we need to take one step backward to see who the government officials are. If a particular society enjoys the democracy and freedom, the gap between officials and grass roots is minimized because the officials are elected through transparent election and are the true representatives of their people. Under these circumstances, there would be a mutual relationship between them so that the eventual benefit of all lay in continuous and constructive cooperation of both sides. Therefore, expectation, attitude and will of people are taken into consideration by officials as they both take the similar directions.
On the other hand, if the government officials have achieved the authority via unconventional ways such as fraud, they are not considered as real and true representatives of their people. In this scenario, most of the time there are splits between involved parts so that there is conflict between the interest of the officials and public. As a result in these communities the probability of tensions and unrest is augmented as the officials do not pay attention to people’s demands and try to deter them from the decision making process.
In conclusion, if a society is on the basis of democracy, the contribution of people in the governing of the country would be highlighted automatically and important decisions will be made in partnership with people. Hence, the government officials do not tend to rely on their judgments, in case they do so, since there are confidence and trust between people and them, their judgments are respected by people.
