Some people think that it is not realistic to expect that individual nations make sacrifices independently to conserve energy. While others think that to protect the world’s energy resources we need international leadership and worldwide cooperation. This issue is a controversial one but a closer examination reveals that if we want our future generations to live happily with relief then it is necessary to have international leadership and worldwide cooperation to protect the world’s energy resources. I agree with the latter one and refute the former one. Because I believe in Unity Is Strength, I think that when there is worldwide cooperation and when all the international nations come together, then we can expect that the world’s energy resources will be protected.

Firstly, it is known to each of us that the energy resources present in our earth is finite, and the rate at which we are consuming the energy resources goes on increasing, leading to a situation of energy crises in the near future. If the progressive rate doesn’t slow down and we still continue to exploit the resources, then very soon the world will suffer from energy crises, which will completely crash down the economy of the world. Most importantly, it will invite an extremely tough situation for our coming generation, and they will have to deal with huge problems. Therefore, it is our responsibility that we must conserve our energy resources, this can only happen if all the nations work together and when there is a worldwide cooperation.

An example for the above-mentioned reason is because of the rising prices of oil barrels and natural gases, there is a decline in the availability of natural resources. And due to this, all the countries are heading towards nuclear power resources which are giving a threat to the availability of resources. Hence, cooperation of countries will help to protect the energy resources for our future generations.

Secondly, as there is a need to protect the energy resources and this is not possible if individual countries start sacrificing to protect only their country’s resources. As this is a worldwide problem, there should be cooperation of worldwide countries. International leadership will definitely be helping in this issue. For instance, if a country takes responsibility of guiding all other countries to work together in protecting the resources, then it probably will help the future generation a relief. For example, in any organization, if there is a leadership quality in some employee, then as a team he can make the company progress. On the other hand if all the employees start working individually, only focusing on their own salary, rather concentrating on the development of the company, then it is of no help to the company as a whole. In closing, international leadership is very much helpful in conserving the natural resources of the world.

In conclusion, while there are arguments to be made for both sides, it is clear that there are greater advantages to have unity which means worldwide cooperation to conserve the natural resources of the world and expect our future generations to live happily.
