Leader is a person of person that consideres needs of all the people. But no matter what kind of group of people he is leading or he is a leader of, the group always gets divided into two when it comes to need (need could be anytjing) as - the majority and the minority group. the way the leader deals with the problem is what keeps him alive as leader in a particular group of people. While some might say that considering the needs of majority may not always be helpful or profitable for the leader. for example a business man cannot always consider the request of majoity of his employees for the increase in their emoluments. otherwise how will he consider the profits of his company.
We can consider the example of the IBM. IBM initially used to make computers for business companies, military,or for big research facilities only i.e. considering only minority group of people.Though initially they were the biggest company in the market but after when the Apple introduced the world personal computers it emerged as one of the biggest corporation in america. Here IBM took into consideration the needs of only minority of people, they never tought . but apple considered the needs of the majority of the people i.e. the common man.Today we find computers as very important part of our life.
another example is of the Henery ford. henery ford considered the needs of majority of the people- ecomomic priced car for all the people. He thought cars is future of transportation and this future belongs to everyone. Even after facing many diffculties while working on economic range car. But he never stoped working on a economic range of cars so that all people can afford a car for themselves. and today we can see ford is one of the largest car making company in the world.
so considering all the above examples we can say that leaders should focus more on the needs of the majority than on the needs of the minority. cosidering the minority will not help them emerging as great leaders in the world.also it may not always be profitable for them.
