As people rely more and more on technology to solve the problems, the ability of humans to think for themselves will surely deteriorate.

I agree that excessive reliance on technology to solve problems will surely deteriorate thinking of humans for themselves. As human body is also a machine, it needs to be used frequently for efficient working. But with introduction to technology, human efforts are considerably reduced. Looking at the rate of technology growth, in future, human brains are likely to be out of use just like a jammed machine. Such defunct brains would not be able to think creatively.

It is natural instinct of mankind to think ahead of everything, which is mainly responsible for technology growth. Students use calculators for even simple calculations instead of applying their own brains. Though technology revolutionised human life by eliminating the problems, it tends to veil enormous human potential that would be used to solve problems.

Furthermore, people tend to become crazy due to these technological gadgets, as they see the gadgets superficially. The superficial look of the gadget and attractive advertisements fascinate people and make them to buy stylish and expensive gadgets. This example gives the idea about day by day increasing consumerism and materialism. The inventors of these technological products are only few percent of total world's population, who really know that how come these gadgets came into existence and what softwares and hardwares are used to produce these gadgets. But, the naive users who are large percentage of total world's population are unaware of these things and get fascinated by their external look and they tend to become slaves of these gadgets.

Surely many of us heard such sentiment, or some variation on it, during our daily commutes to work:” People are getting stupid these days”. Surrounded as we are by, cell phones glued to ears, tablet computers in palm, share market's ups and downs gleaming in eye balls, it is indicating to us that, technology has made us excessively dependant. But, if technology and human power are used judiciously, then surely human thinking will not tend to deteriorate.
