A person is susceptible to his circle, he /she will behave according to the people around him/her. It can also be possible that the person can also inherit some of the habits of his colleague. So, if we want to promote the well-being of the society, we have to provide a couth environment to the people, which is why the corporates have a responsibility to promote the well being of the societies, and I mostly agree with this saying for two reasons.
To begin, the corporation is a place in the society where the people belonging to disparate places and region. So, if a corporate is treating them harshly, if the corporate is making them to loathe each other then it will surely have a reflection of this kind of a treatment in the outer society as well. For example, if there are two guys one is from black race and other is from the white one, if the company is doing enough to treat both of them equally, then they will also threat themselves as equal to each other and it will also have a reflection in their thinking and thoughts which will be in a positive direction and will help the society to flourish. But on the contrast if that company is prioritizing one over the other then the hate of the latter will escalate and will lead to a conflict if that partiality will go on. So, the corporate can make or break a person mind and can make him to question his or her pompousness, which will eventually have an effect on the society
Secondly, A corporate have an important role in to make their environment well developed and well mannered, for example- they will have their clients in all over the world, for escalating their company growth the company have to and it is the necessity that they have to treat their clients with goodness and probity, if they do the opposite, they will lose their clients. So, for keeping their clients the company have to teach their employees the moral principles and have to tell them to treat the clients in the right way, which eventually in most of the cases lead to the well being of the society as the people are learning the way of treating people nicely consciously or subconsciously
However, we can not ignore the fact that the responsibility of corporation also includes the money making if they are doing within the law. Because at the end it will help the country’s GDP and also increase the name of the country in the world. But one cannot say that this is the only responsibility that corporative sector should have because there are several ways of making money within laws which are harmful to the society. For example, a company which has only one goal which is to make as much money as possible and because of that, the company is exploiting all of their employees (they are making them to do overwork regularly (just one of the examples)), what will you think will happen to this? There surely will be a repercussion of this. So can not just focus on money only as a corporation, you have to beyond that and have to include other things as well to be a successful which led me to conclude that money making is also important for the corporate sector, but it cannot be the only thing, the sector also have to include themselves in the well-being of the society.
