"Of the two leading real estate firms in our town—Adams Realty and Fitch Realty—Adams Realty is clearly superior. Adams has 40 real estate agents; in contrast, Fitch has 25, many of whom work only part-time. Moreover, Adams' revenue last year was twice as high as that of Fitch and included home sales that averaged $168,000, compared to Fitch's $144,000. Homes listed with Adams sell faster as well: ten years ago I listed my home with Fitch, and it took more than four months to sell; last year, when I sold another home, I listed it with Adams, and it took only one month. Thus, if you want to sell your home quickly and at a good price, you should use Adams Realty."
Write a response in which you examine the stated and/or unstated assumptions of the argument. Be sure to explain how the argument depends on these assumptions and what the implications are for the argument if the assumptions prove unwarranted.

In this argument that the author reaches the conclusion that his friend should sell his home use Adams Realty. To support his conclusion, the author points out that Adams is superior based these fact:
1) Adams has more real estate agents than Fitch, and many of the agents of Fitch is part-time. 2) In last year, Adams`s revenue was twice as high as that of Fitch. 3) It took more than four months to sell his home 10 years ago used Fitch and his another one sold in one month last year used Adams. Careful examination of this supporting evidence, however, reveals that it lends little credible credible support to the applicant』s claim.

First and for most, Adams has more agents does`t mean that Adams is better, even if many agents of Fitch are part-time, maybe the agents of Fitch is more professional. Or the stuffs Fitch work more efficiently, and on the contrary, Adams` stuff always hang out or work slowly and less effectively. If so, we can not conclude that Adams is better than Fitch just because it has more agents.

What`s more, the arguer cites Adams has twice revenue than Fitch has. As we all known, revenue doesn`t equal to profit, it is possible that the cost of estate witch Adams sold is much higher than Fitch`s. Without accounting for such possibilities, the owner cannot convince me that help people to sell home at a better price.

Moreover, the author compared the speed in different times, there are too many differences in 10 years, lots of other factors may affect the speed of sell, such as the demands for houses of people, or potential buyers.
In addition, perhaps the speaker lived in different regions with different population, less people may lead to less trading of estate. Any one of a myriad of other factors might explain that advancement.

Even though the Adams sells faster and at a better price in common, his friend`s house may different with common ones. It maybe a glass house laid on a lake which less people want it, and Fitch has a specific business to handle this kind of houses. In that way, his friend should sell his home use Fitch.

To sum up, the conclusion lacks credibility because the evidence cited in the analysis does not lend strong support to what the arguer claim. To make the argument more convincing , the arguer must provide more evidence to validate the conclusion.
