The exploration and development of safe fossil fuels should be the most important global priority today.
To what extend do you agree or disagree?
As majority of countries in the world have been undergoing unprecedented economic and industrial revolution, the need for fuels, namely gas, coal and oil, has proliferated. The impact of this trend is causing worldwide concern since those fuels are creating poisonous emissions. Some people suggest that countries should put those ensuing problems at the first position. In evaluating that kind of issues, one should adopt broader perspective.
It is not a secret that fossil fuels form basis of manifold fields such as manufacturing industry. The high need for new and large numbers of products has lead to proportional expansion in the use of fossil fuels to a stage where they are overused. This is jeopardizing our environment and subsequent pollution has been incurring. Poor and inadequate environmental conditions for human being’s health are causing emergence of newly-introduced types of diseases especially in urban areas where pollution is much worse. In the light of these facts, many people are under impression that government should redirect all of its effort on improving usage of fossil fuels and increasing the safety of them rather than promoting economic development further.
On the other hand it should not be forgotten that there are other important problems with which government must deal. Obviously, natural disasters and recession are making the situation much worse while government is resolving and strengthening other fields such as health protection. Therefore, it might be nearly impossible to divert all the attention of a country only to improving usage of fossil fuels.
As outlined above, although switching all the effort of a country can baffle it, it should not be ignored that human health is valuable rather than anything else, therefore, not all the support but majority of it should be rerouted towards improving safety of usage of fossil fuels.
