"Fatherhood ought to be emphasized as much as motherhood. The idea that women are solely responsible for deciding whether or not to have babies leads on to the idea that they are also responsible for bringing the children up."
Motherhood is an essential phase of life for a woman. After getting married and then have a baby, a woman automatically goes to this stage. In some countries, being a mother means more duties attached. Taking care of the children, doing household chores, and managing family’s budget become full responsibility for a woman. Above all these responsibilities, taking care of children is a woman’s priority. A woman is considered responsible for raise the baby when she decides to have it.

On the other hand, it seems that a man has a less pressure in the society for woman’s top priority in life. There is a tendency to set the man free from this responsibility as a man holds an important position in a family as a breadwinner. In the past, this arrangement is a fixed price. There is no way for a woman to skip from this cultural arrangement.
As time goes by, this arrangement is slightly moving so that a woman nowadays gets soften excuse for not being the one who is solely responsible in raising children. Fatherhood is now being a stage that is also important in a man’s life. These days, a man needs to take a role in raising children as well. A man is taking roles not only as a breadwinner but also a father who can be count on in helping a woman to take care of the children. This current situation affect positively in some other aspects of life. More appreciation is given to woman to show that man understands how difficult it is to look after the children.
To conclude, I believe that by emphasizing fatherhood as much as motherhood will give positive result for both man and woman in general. It is totally true that two is better than one so instead of being the one who is fully responsible for taking care of children, a woman and man can work together in order to be successful parents.
