The line graph reveals percentage of late adulthood in three distinct countries (Japan, sweden and U. S. A) over the period of a century.

It can be clearly seen that in Japan, from 1940 to 2005, the percentage of adulthood remained constant at 5 percent. Moreover, it is anticipated to reach at about 27 percent in 2040. Furthermore, in Sweden, from 1940 to 1982, the percentage of old generation followed an increasing trend gradually rising from about 7 to 14 percent. Adding to it, it is likely to mushroom to about 25 percent in 2040.

The line graph depicts that in U. S. A, from1940 to1982, the percentage of old people elevated from less than 10 to 15 percent. Moreover, from 1983 to 2013, the percentage of population levelled out at about 15 percent. In addition, it will rise rapidly to less than 25 percent in 2040.

It is therefore clear that, overall trend shows the percentage of late adulthood is mushroom in overall period.
