What other measures do you think might be effective?

In recent times, it has been observed that increase in number of vehicles, atmospheric pollution has led to many issues. People suggest to curb this menace, gasoline prices should be raised. I disagree with this proponent and would like to suggest alternative means to fight this threat.

There are many arguments against view of pushing up cost of gas.Clearly, primary argument is that heavy vehicles used for carrying goods use petrol and no alternative fuel exist. Raising fuel price will subsequently raise transportation cost. Consequently, this will lead to inflating prices of products and create economic burden for country. In addition, lack of public transport is other major reason for congestion on roads as people are forced to commute on their private vehicles.Indeed, increase in carbon emission has polluted ecosystem.

Taking into view above perspective, new and effective ways are needed to get rid of health hazards. Government should fund projects on search of alternative fuel like electricity, solar energy, hydrogen power. These are renewable sources of energy and does not release harmful elements. Furthermore, people should be educated bad effects of pollutant on future generations. They should be encourage to use bicycles rather than motor vehicles. Likewise, public transport should be improved so as to encourage their usage and special lanes for bicycle riders should be constructed. On same lines, more and more trees should be planted along side roads so as to observe harmful chemicals. All these means can help reducing bad effects of pollution.

To conclude, expensive petroleum will only worsen current situation. Many effective ways to handle traffic and pollution problems can be devised.
