More and more qualified people are moving from poor to rich countries to fill vacancies in specialist areas like engineering computing and medicine Some people believe that by encouraging the movement of such people rich countries are stealing from poor c

An increasing number of skilled workers, specially Engineers, Doctors and Technology specialists are migrating to developed countries from under developed countries these days. Some people opine that, rich countries are draining the brain from the underprivileged countries where as others argue, it is a natural process of workers moving for job globally. I agree that it is a natural phenomenon of workers moving to other countries for better opportunity, however, there should be enough monitoring that the underprivileged countries are not being ripped off of their talents.

In past few decades we have seen an uprising of skilled workforce moving to different countries as migrants in order to search for better livelihood. Albeit, this tradition of moving to different countries has increased recently, this tradition is not foreign to the world. For hundreds of centuries workers around the globe has been doing the same.

In this era of globalization and up-rise of the multinational conglomerates, this tradition has taken a hike and is prominent then ever before. Even though, migration is not new to our world, it is of no question that, these days some well developed countries are luring talents from less developed countries like India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. There should be an international body to actually monitor the migration, and make sure the countries from which people are leaving are not being deprived of their basic rights to hold on to their talents.

To conclude, I do not think the term stealing is the correct word to use when it comes to skilled migration. However, skilled workers leaving their home countries might leave the country in a future turmoil, hence it should be strictly monitored and made sure that it is a transparent process.
