In some countries, people who commit less serious crimes are made to undertake community service* instead of a prison sentence. Some people believe that all people who have committed a crime should be sent to prison. Do you agree or disagree?Give reasons

I strongly disagree with the statement that all people who have committed a
crime should be sent to prison.Person should get punished according to the
seriousness of a crime.Let's say if a person is a snatcher then he or she should
not get prisonned for whole life where as if someone is a murderer then he or
should get prisoned for life time or even more than that.Punishment should be
decided on the level of strictness according to the sin which had been committed
by someone.To undertake some sort of community services is a good option
depending upon the nature of crime.Again these services should be given to
different criminals according to the severity of the crime and these services
should be considered as the warnings before giving a big penalty to anyone.In my
opinion laws should be strict enough to control rate of crimes in any country
but prison sentence should not be given to everyone who had committed even a
very minor sort of crime in his or her life.As prisoner's life is not a bed of
roses,and we already knew that every human being is a man of mistakes,so to
sentance a prisonment for every sin can make someone mentally sick and
disbale.So u can make another crime by giving such a hard punishment to a person
who is mentally and physically functioning normally now,or if prison sentance is
must then some conditions should be given to the criminal which should not
hamper his life in jail atleast because our aim is to give penalty and not to
make someone ill.
