It can be seen that, in the UK, London experienced the highest price changed in the given period. Starting from approximately -7% between 1990 and 1995, the level of house price in London was rocketed, reaching about 11% between 1996 to 2002.
Turning to New York, the percentage of average house prices was under the price level, which was -5%. However, it rose up 5% between 1996 and 2002. Similarly, in Spain, the average house price grew slightly 3%, from 1% to 4% while, Frankfurt in Germany had dropped merely 1% over the period.
It is noticeable that house prices in Tokyo and London were the lowest (-7%) among the other cities at the beginning of the year. Although house prices in Tokyo increased 2% in throughout the given period, it still below the average house price of -5%.
Overall, the average house prices in these five major cities were significantly increased over the period from 1990 to 2002.
