The chart below shows the number of men and women in further education in Britain in three periods and whether they were studying full-time or part-time.
The bar chart gives information about how many people have full-time education and part-time education, divided by genders, in Britain in three different periods: 1970 to 1971, 1980 to 1981 and 1990 to 1991.
It can be seen that full-time education had the most people for both genders in the given period in question. Starting from approximately 700 people in between 1970 and 1971, female increased significantly, reaching about 1100 people in between 1990 and 1991. With regards to part-time education, there were least women with less than 100 people while, men had more than 100 people between 1970 and 1971.
In term of the trend of male, although the full-time education was on top in the first and second period in comparison to women, the trend of female had become the highest number of people between 1990 and 1991. It is noticeable that the trend of part-time education for both genders rose up at 200 people over these three period, while, the trend was rocketed for women.
Overall, the number of women in both full-time and part-time education were significantly grew up, whereas, the number of men dropped a little on full time education at the first period (1970 to 1971).
