The diagrams illustrate two conventional ways of collecting water for irrigation aims.
The first method is called Swing basket. it contains of ropes that are attached to a bamboo or leather basket and it is usually used for undergrounds water with only 2 or 3 metres deep. Firstly, the basket is filled with water by two persons whereas in the second method a cow is used. Then, the water is poured in to a channel that lead to the farmlands.
Unlike the Swing basket,Rope and bucket is a little more complicated way. A pulley, rollers, ropes and a bucket are used in this method.The ropes are tied up to a cow. When the cow start to walk up the hill the bucket goes down the well with approximately 50 metres deep. Then it is filled with water. Next,when the cow goes down the hill the bucket is pulled up and the water is poured in the irrigation channels.
In conclution, these two diverse methods are used to watering the plants with simple equipment in different depth.
