The graph below shows the consumption of fish and some different kinds of meat in a European country between 1979 and 2004. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The grams of fish and meat, which is consumed by each person during a week in a European country, is pictured between 1979 and 2004 in graph below.

Overall, beef and lamb usage decrease during this period, in contrast, chicken consumption increases, and fish consumption remains constant. Beef and chicken have the highest amount of usage in 1979 and 2004 respectively. On the other hand, fish consumption is the lowest in both 1979 and 2004.

To begin with, in 1979, beef consumption stands at around 220 grams. Beef consumption reaches its peak at 240 grams in 1983 and after that time, it falls most of the time and stands at less than 150 grams in 2004. Similarly lamb consumption declines from 150 grams in 1979 to around 75 grams in 2004. The beef consumption is higher than lamb in all of the time.

By contrast, chicken consumption rises rapidly from less than 150 grams in 1979 to more than 250 grams in 2004. In 1988, the chicken usage and beef usage is equal. Before this time the beef has the highest consumption; however, after that chicken is used more. Finally, fish consumption fluctuates around 50 grams between 1979 and 2004, and has the lowest figures in all years.
