The graph depicts about the proportion of population aged 65 and above in USA,Sweden and Japan . The data has been calibrated in percentage.
To commence with, in 1940 people aged 65 and above was 5% in Japan, 7% in Sweden and less than 10% in USA from their total population. In next 40 year, Sweden and USA people aged 65 or above increased slightly but in japan its proportion decreased .Moving to next 40 years Japan's proportion show rise and Sweden carry on to decrease dramatically and increase suddenly. In 2040 Japan people aged 65 and over will come to more than 25% while Sweden and USA on 25% and 23% approximately from their total proportion.
Overall, it is crystal clear that Japan old age people was very less in 1940 and will at peak in 2040. While other countries which showed fall and rise among old age people will follow by japan proportion in 2040.
