The map below is of the town of Garlsdon. A new supermarket (S) is planned for the town. The map shows two possible sites for the supermarket.
The map illustrates two potential sites for a new supermarket construction which will be built in Garlsdon, a town which has population of 65,000. What stands out from the picture reveals that both locations are far from the industrial zones but easy to access by the inhabitants.
The first potential site (S1) is located in the northwest countryside, between the housing area and the boundary line of the town. This site is connected to the town center by a main road, directing to Hindon which is 12 km from Garlsdon and has 10,000 inhabitants, and a railway which runs from Hindon to Cransdon, a town located at 25 km southeast of Garlsdon.
S2, the second possible location can be seen in the town center where the transports is not permitted. However, passing near by the site is the railway line. This area is also linked by two main roads to other towns, Bransdon (a town with population of 15,000 at 16 km southwest of Garlsdon) and Cransdon which has 29,000 citizens.
