The pie charts below show units of electricity production by fuel source Australia and France in 1980 and 2000.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The pie charts depict how a couple of types of fuel were used to produce electricity in two countries in years 1980 and 2000.

Firstly, we would survey different fuel consumption in Australia. In 1980, Coal and Oil are the major and minor popular sources and the total production was 100 units. However, the situation was changed in 2000 and Coal became the most usual fuel. Moreover, Oil and Natural gas has the least amount of usage. In compare to 1980, there was a growth of 70 units in total production.

Secondly, the situation in France is completely different. In 1980, the conventional sources were Coal, Oil, Natural Gas, Hydro Power, and Nuclear Power. Although Coal and Natural Gas were used more on that time, Nuclear Power is the significant source to produce electricity in 2000. Actually, the total production was increased by 90 units from 1980 to 2000.

In conclusion, a variety of fuels were used to produce electricity in aforementioned countries. Even though the total amount of production of Australia was greater than France in 1980, the pattern changed in 2000 surprisingly.
