The table below gives the information on consumer spending on different items in five five different countries in 2000.
The given table presents data concerning the proportion of consumer expenditure on three different categories of goods and services in five countries in 2000.
At first glance, it is noticeable that foods, drinks, and tobacco had the largest proportion which was spent on all countries while the smallest percentage accounted for leisure and education.
A closer look at the data, Italy and Spain did not spend nearly as much foods, drinks, and tobaccos as Ireland and Turkey. By 200, Turkey had been recorded as the greatest spending on the category, at just over one in third which was two times higher than Italy and Spain, at 16.36% and 18,80% respectively. Likewise, the percentage in Ireland was 28.91%, almost 50% greater than Sweden.
Turning to expenses on leisure and education, Ireland, Italy and Spain spent clothing and foot ware three times as much leisure and education spending as those countries. In any case, the proportion of recreation and school in Sweden and Turkey was 3,25 and 4,35% while the percentage of wardrobe doubled in the two countries.
