The table compares the percentage of children who were born by their mothers who were between 40 and 44 years old from 1981 to 2006 in Australia.
It is noticeable that percentages of none, one child and two children who were born gradually increased over the majority of years. In contrast, the trend for giving birth to more than three children decreased over the same period.
