The bar chart depicts the number of students who chose university subjects in 2005. Overall, the graphic splits students into male and female categories and organizes them according to subjects. It is clear that there are some unmistakable gender inequalities in the themes picked. Female students tend to choose the arts, languages, and social sciences. In contrast, the favorite subjects of male students are sciences and mathematics.
The number of female students choosing their favorite subjects ranged from the highest number of just under 25 thousand to the lowest number of just under 5 thousand, a difference of around 20 thousand. Female students chose most languages, social sciences, and art, but the subject that they chose lowest is math, only under 5 thousand.
There was a considerable disparity in the number of males who picked university topics. Male students chose sciences and math is the most.
