Given are the bar chart contrasting the number of people taking part in various evening courses at an adult education center as well as the pie chart depicting the percentage of discrete groups of ages attending these activities in 2009.
It is perceptible from the bar chart that the number of women in most courses was higher than men’s, except in Sculpture class. According to the other chart older age groups accounted for larger proportion of participants.
In term of the volume of students separated by gender, females were twice as higher as the other sex in Drama and Language classes, 20 and 40 students in sequence. Meanwhile, the opposite was true for Sculpture course with 10 male enrollers. Painting was males’ most favorite course with 25 students, but the volume of females in the same class was still higher: 30 attenders.
It is noticeable from the second figure that the over-50s constituted 42% of the total participants, followed by the 40 to 49-year-olds and 30-39-year-olds: 26% and 16% respectively. The youngest age group comprised the smallest percentage of students: 5%, which was twofold smaller than the figure for 20-29 age groups: 16%.
