The bar chart compares the proportion of male and female in various age groups who participate in physical exercise regularly in Australia in 2010.

It is noticeable that the gender patterns for different age were varied, expect for 65 and over group, which men and women had almost similar figure.

As for men, 15-24 years old group has the highest percentage, 52.8% of male had the habit of doing exercise regularly, while only 47.7% of their female counterparts had this habit. Men in other age groups are less active, the figure declined gradually to 39.5% when they were 35 to 44 years old, then the percentage saw a slightly increase as men grew older. There were always more women involving physical activity excluding the youngest age group. 52.5% of female aged between 35 and 44 did regular exercise while only 43.1% of male in this age group did so.

Overall, the majority of women were engaged in exercise regularly compared to men with the exception of age group of 15-24 years old.
