The bar chart comapes a variation of USA sales of recordings in millions by age group and music genre in 2010.
In general terms, the most popular music for age group 23 to 51 was Rock in 2010. In contrast, pop was the most popular music for age 16 to22 and classical was popular music for group over 58 years old.
It is clear from the bar chart show that the age of 16 to 22 and 23 to 31 liked Rock and Pop music and did not like classical music. The age of 16 to 22 bought recordings of Pop music about 4,9 million CDs in 2010 and the age of 23 to 31 bought recordings of Rock music nearly 4,1 million in this period. About 1,8 million recordings and 2,1 million recordings of classical music are bought by the age of 16 to 22 and 23 to 31 respectively.
In addtion, the age of 32 to 57 also liked Pop music in 2010. They bought about 3,1 million recordings for the age of 23 to 31 and around 3,9 million recordings for the age of 46 to 57. Besides, they hated listening to Rock music, just over 1 million recordings were sales. On the other hand, the age over 58 group liked classical music in this period. They bought 4,5 million recordings in 2010.
