The bar chart presents the information of visitor attendance rates in four different Museums in London over the period of five months. Overall, British Museum had the highest number of visitors while National Museum experienced the lowest number during the time frame.
In June and July, the figures for History Museum, British Museum, and Science Museum hovered around 400,000 visitors, which doubled the number of people visiting National Museum. More specifically, Science Museum was the most-visited Museum of all in June with nearly 430,000 tourists while the number of visits in British Museum and History Museum stood at about 410,000 and 400,000 respectively. In July, the figure for British Museum increased to around 420,000, making it the most-visited museum and the only museum witnessed an upward trend that month.
The next two months were the peak season of all four museums. In August, overall attendance of these museums, except Science Museum, rose significantly. British Museum remained its first rank by hitting the highest point of more than 700,000 visitors. History Museum and National Museum peaked at 600,000 and 300,000 respectively. Stabilizing at 400,000 visitors, Science Museum only ranked third in August. Nevertheless, the figure for this museum increased by 100,000 during its peak month – September, whereas the other three museums experienced a considerable downward drop of 100,000 to 200,000 visitors. December was the off season of History Museum, National Museum and Science Museum because their attendance rates bottomed at 210,000, under 200,000 and 300,000 respectively. Conversely, despite the decrease, British Museum still remained its dominant position with almost 450,000 visitors.
