The diagram illustrates how many average hours (every week) are spent on unpaid work by people in different types. Admittedly, unpaid work relates to such house activities as childcare, housework, and gardening. Overall, the most significant fact to emerge from the diagram is that the average hours of unpaid work per week consumed by the married women show their superiority over that of unpaid work per week spent by married men.
Regarding average time spent by married women, female with more than 3 children have a larger number at around 55. Moreover, this is followed by women with 1-2 children and without a child. While the former stands at roughly 50, the latter is accounted for about 30.
Turning to time consumed by married men, there is the highest average hour of unpaid work which is noted at nearly 18. In addition, males with 1-2 and over 3 children have the smaller numbers that are recorded at approximately 17 and 15 respectively.
In summary, while married women having many children spent much time on unpaid work, married men with more than 3 children have the minimum amount of average time consumed in comparison with other categories.
