The bar graph compares and contrasts data on the change in the number of employees in the 5 different departments of an area in Australian continent for two years with a difference of nine years.
In an overview, there is a slight rise in the figures of employees in three departments (sales, computing and nursing), whereas two departments (accounting and farming) shows a gradual decline.
Firstly, the sales department, which had the maximum number of employees in both the years, in 2001 it had 1,80,000 staff members and by 2008 it reached to an approx value of 1,90,000. Similarly in the computing and nursing department, the employee count was 1 lakh and 40,000 respectively, and by 2008 it grew to a near value of 1,10,000 and 50,000 respectively. All these departments showed a increase of 10,000 members.
Secondly, The accounting department , which had about half the number of employees when compared to sales department, witnessed a decrease of about 10,000 employees in eight years and reached to 80,000. Even, the farming department, which had the least number of employees, saw a fall of staff by 10,000, and reached the lowest count of only 20,000 representatives
