The bar graph shows the rentals and annual sales of DVD , VHS and Blu- ray films from a shop during 2002 and 2011
The bar chart gives the information about the yearly number of rentals and 'VHS, DVD and Blu-ray sales' of movies from a particular store during 2002 - 2011.
It can be seen from given information that in 2007, the annual number of the DVD sales were the highest (about 2,15,000), while the sales were least (45,000) in 2000. The yearly sales of DVD continuously decreased during last 4 years and reached to 1,70,000 in the final year. Interestingly, in 2002, the sales of the VHS were maximum (84,000), and rapidly fell to 11,000 in 2005, and suddenly disappeared in 2006.
Furthermore, in between 2002 and 2011, the annual rentals of the films marginally dropped. The yearly rentals of films began from 1,83,000 in 2002, which were the maximum, but then, the figure started to decrease, and lastly hit on the figure of 57,000 in 2011. However, the sales of Blu-ray ray films just initiated in 2007 at 2,000 and slowly progressed and surged to 13,000 in 2011.
Overall, it can be noticed that the customers who watched the movies on rents became least popular in the market. While, few others such as Blu-ray sales had been started to become popular among the customers.
