The best way for government to solve the traffic congestion in city is providing free public transport for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Traffic congestion is the most important problem in many countries. Everyone is finding how to solve this problem. Many people argue that government should provide free public transport in 24 hours per day and 7 days a week. This can be a sound appropriation but to me personally, that way has some benefit and drawback for workers or residents.
When free public transport are used 24 hours per day and 7 days a week, it can reduce traffic congestion and air or noise pollution. Simply it is free for everyone so a lot of people will use it. It can help them to save their money for transfering. More and more people using public transport, it can decrease a large number of people in traffic at rush hours. That means air or noise pollution which is caused by traffic jams, will be reduced. It will create a green space outside and the fresh air. Everyone always likes that space.
Beside its benefits, that way has some drawback which can make the government or the workers feel unsatisfied. When free public transport are used 24 hours per day and 7 days a week, it can make workers who worker for public transport companies will feel tired. More and more people use public transport , that companies need more workers to do many works. it make the employers and the workers feel bored and stressed. As public transport is free for everybody so the government will spend a lot of money for paying salaries to workers. It can affect to the country's economic.
In addition, although using free public transport is a good way to reduce traffic congestion, it has some drawback. I think the government should encourage everyone to use public transport or walking. And we should think and aware about the important of reducing traffic congestion.
